Apalachee Aquatics

Hello AA families! My name is Sarah-Grace Thompson, and I am excited to be your head coach this season. I started my swim career right here at Apalachee Aquatics at 6 years old. I fell in love with the sport and swam competitively for 12 years in the Gwinnett County Swim League and for Swim Atlanta, alongside my two younger siblings. I spent 4 years competing for LSU Swimming and Diving serving as team captain my senior year and earning a degree in Biological Sciences. Geaux Tigers!

Swimming gave me opportunities beyond the pool when I served as the Georgia Swimming Athlete Representative for 2 years and on the Junior Advisory Board for Swim Across America Atlanta for 4 years. I love helping young swimmers find a passion for this sport that shaped me! I have coached summer league for 2 years, and I’ve coached at Swim Atlanta Sugarloaf this past year while preparing for medical school. I believe that summer league is the catalyst for building self confidence, resilience, and lifelong friendships! I can’t wait to see what our swimmers and families accomplish this season! I have been swimming since the age of 10 with Apalachee Aquatics and this is my third summer as a coach! I am currently a collegiate soccer player at Young Harris College and previously attended Dacula High School where I was a member of the Soccer Team and the Swim Team. 

I have been swimming since the age of 3 with Apalachee Aquatics and this will be my fifth summer as a coach! I graduated from Dacula High School in 2025 and currently attend the University of South Carolina as a Nursing Major. Outside of summer swim league, I swam for the Dacula High School swim team where I made four county cuts my Senior season. I currently swim with the University of South Carolina Club Swim Team. 

My name is Mary Loomis and I currently attend the University of Georgia! I graduated from Mill Creek High School in 2025. I have been coaching at AA for the past 4 years and can't wait for another season with this Team! I have been swimming since I was 6 years old, and I swam at Swim Atlanta, senior level and at Mill Creek High School all four years! I am also currently a member of the University of Georgia Club Swim Team!
